Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a residential development. No archaeological sites had been recorded in the vicinity, but settlement in the area had been documented from 957 AD onwards. During the evaluation, three pits containing 12th century pottery were revealed. Two ditches and a modern service trench were also found, and residual early medieval pottery was recovered. [AIP] |
