Abstract: |
Two trenches were excavated on a site just to the south of Shields Road in Byker. The site lay on the northern side of Corbridge Street at its intersection with Raby Street. The trenches were located to assess the proximity of the site to the proposed line of Hadrian's Wall. The results of the evaluation indicated that no significant archaeological deposits survived in the area in question. [Au(abr)] |
