Abstract: |
One 30m trench was mechanically excavated on a plot of land off Yeoman Way, Durrington, West Sussex, in advance of a proposed access road. One Archaeological feature was observed cut into the underlying Brickearth, a ditch of modern date containing tile and bottle glass. No further archaeological features or deposits were observed, although several pieces of fire-cracked flint and one sherd of probable Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pottery were recovered from the upper surface of the Brickearth.
