Abstract: |
A test pit survey was undertaken to identify the extent of 19th century quarrying on the site identified in an earlier evaluation. The test pits identified that most of the site, apart from a small area in the southern end of the site, had been quarried away. In one of the quarried areas the remains of a brick structure was identified. The test pits in the un-quarried areas found no archaeology but identified that archaeology in the un-quarried areas, identified in the earlier evaluation, would survive. [Au(abr)] |
