Abstract: |
The site lies within an area of high archaeological potential as identified by the Greater London Archaeology Advisory Service. There are entries from the Greater London Sites and Monuments Record located within the boundaries of the subject site and numerous entries from within a 500 metre 'radius'. However, the British Geological Survey map of North London shows that the site was subject to mineral extraction in the past, and subsequently backfilled. Geotechnical investigations confirm this. Therefore, it was thought no further archaeological investigation is necessary [Au(abr)] |
