Abstract:
The archaeological observations undertaken during the conservation works at Cleeve Abbey identified the established early development of the claustral ranges and the gatehouse in the 13th century, and also produced a little evidence of 13th century fabric within the farmhouse. The 15th century rebuilding of the refectory was also clearly distinguished, with little later alteration. The farmhouse range was added in the 16th century. [Au (adp)]
