Abstract: |
A watching brief during trenching operations for the laying of a new water supply pipe along a track leading from Sutton Lane to just outside 'The Cedars' at Sutton Scarsdale, and running close to the Church and the former Sutton Scarsdale Hall, revealed only features and deposits of 19th century and later date including rubble make-up of redeposited demolition material, a small wall, and a ceramic land drain.
