Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundworks and the excavation of foundations for two new domestic dwellings at the rear of the site. The site is in the core of the former medieval town of Ditchling, East Sussex and was once occupied by a 19th Century brewery. At the eastern end of the site a medieval boundary ditch, two post-medievalpits and three undated post holes were recorded. The removal of a nearby barn floor as part of a conversion was monitored and no archaeological features or artefacts were recorded. [Au(abr)] |
