Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks at a development site, in the vicinity of which Neolithic ditches, a Roman settlement and early medieval remains had been excavated. Cropmarks with a possible archaeological origin lay 300m to the north-east. During the watching brief, modern field drains were observed and a sherd of Roman pottery was recovered. No archaeological deposits were encountered. [AIP]
