Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed a north-south aligned boundary ditch, most likely of Bronze Age date. Post holes and root holes were also recorded, some containing Bronze Age pottery sherds. Residual Mesolithic and Neolithic flints were recovered, as well as Anglo-Saxon, Late Iron Age and Roman pottery. The finds reflected an early prehistoric presence in the area, also shown by the Neolithic causewayed enclosure to the south. [Au(adp)] |
