Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out on groundworks for a flood alleviation scheme. A medieval wall was encountered and a salvage excavation on the wall recovered finds from an associated occupation layer. Three pits, a wall, a fish pond and a structure, possibly a bridge, were also identified and were dated to the medieval period. A palaeochannel, a 19th century structure and a modern land drain were also recorded. [Au(abr)] |
