Abstract: |
Gradiometer and resistivity survey were carried out at the site of the Stanley Bank Slittling Mill. Both surveys identified anomalies that may have represented structural remains, however, the anomalies did not correspond well with each other, although some comparison could be made. Areas of positive response and high resistance may have related to structural remains situated throughout the site. An area of low resistance situated in the centre south of the survey area may have corresponded with a clay seal revealed in the 2006 excavations. The GPS trial was unsuccessful in identifying clear evidence of buried structural remains. [Au(abr)] |
