Abstract:		 No archaeological features or deposits were observed during the monitoring of groundworks at Charnham Park, and no artefacts were recovered. No evidence was found for the presence of further dispersed Anglo-Saxon settlement (extensive investigations in 1989 revealed activity of that date, along with evidence of a prehistoric presence). It was considered likely that little or no damage to possible archaeological deposits would result from this stage of the development. [Au(adp)]
