Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in the grounds of the 12th century St. Mary's Abbey, a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Ragstone rubble was revealed, a first it was believed to represent a demolished wall, but then appeared to be more of a hard standing. It was likely to have dated to 1938 when the refectory building was constructed. [AIP] |
