Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, including both desktop survey and trial-trenching, was carried out on land immediately west of St Catherine's Church. This was undertaken as a condition of the consent on planning permission covering the construction of two dwellings. No archaeology predating the post-medieval period was discovered. Post-holes and rubble spreads relating to two demolished 19th century cottages were seen, and field boundaries were also recorded. [AIP] |
