Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of 7 groundworks trenches. Natural clay and bedrock were exposed in places, but significant parts of the excavations did not extend below made ground, or were limited to areas which had already been disturbed by modern services within the area of the watching brief. Two trenches exposed archaeological deposits, and finds of post-medieval and possibly medieval date were recovered from these features, as well as from contexts previously disturbed by modern services.
