Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site. Late prehistoric features and prehistoric, Roman and early medieval finds had been recorded in the area. The projected line of a Roman road passed nearby, and a medieval manor house lay in the vicinity. During the evaluation, post-medieval features containing 18th-19th century finds were revealed, and a possible robbed out wall was recorded. A pit of unknown date and two prehistoric flints were found. It was concluded that no further work would be necessary. [AIP] |
