Abstract: |
Excavations as part of the Danebury Environs Roman Project revealed further remains of a Roman villa complex on the site. The earlier Roman occupation, dating to the late 1st and early 2nd centuries, was focused around a large rectangular building to the north of which was a ditched enclosure devoid of occupation. Further building developments continued through to the mid-4th century AD. [AIP] |
