Abstract: |
The route of the new cable trench passed the Broughton Hill barrow group, within 15 metres to the south of the most northerly of the barrows (SAM 26779) and 15 metres to the north of the second barrow (SAM 26780), but did not directly impact upon the Scheduled Ancient Monument. The monitoring of the site identified two former ditches. An absence of artefacts or associated settlement-type features indicated their probable agricultural function.[Au(abr)] |
