Abstract: |
Made ground with 13th century structural evidence was the earliest feature to be found on the site. Further 14th century dumping had obscured this, and contained pits with chalk and rubbish backfilled as consolidation. A timber building had been laid on this. This was replaced by a brick building up to the 15th-16th century, which was robbed out in the 17th century and sealed below levelling deposits. The phases of the site were dated by pottery and other finds. [Au(adp)] |
