Abstract: |
Excavation of Known Archaeology Area 21 produced evidence for a major ditch associated with the construction of South Dyke. A possible palaeo-channel was also identified to the south of Cock Beck, possibly indicating a former course of the Beck. Radiocarbon dating of material from environmental samples would allow the South Dyke monument to be placed in a suitable historic context. [Au] |
