Abstract: |
A desk-top assessment of the proposed site of a residential development was undertaken. A small number of prehistoric sites lay in the surrounding area, and Roman and Saxon remains had been recorded in the near vicinity. Settlement in the area had been documented from medieval times. It was concluded that the site had a high potential for remains dating from the Roman period onwards; a field evaluation was recommended. [AIP] |
