Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment of a site which lay to the north and south of Vale Farm Road, Woking, identified that isolated Neolithic and Bronze Age artefacts had been found in the surrounding area, and that three Bronze Age round barrows lay to the north-east of the site. 1st century AD pottery and quern fragments and a 4th century AD coin had also been found in the vicinity. It was concluded that the site did not appear to lie in an area of high archaeological potential. It was further noted that previous housing development had caused some disturbance on parts of the proposal site. [AIP] |
