Abstract:		 <summary>Archaeological work in connection with English Heritage's restoration of the gardens at Wrest Park commenced in 1988. During the seasons 1989/90 and 1990/91 specific research objectives were identified and a programme of fieldwork devised. The main aim was to rediscover garden features relating to the intended period of restoration c1735-7, although earlier features were also recorded. In 1990/91, geophysical survey was used to clarify the configuration of the paths and to re-examine the site of the previous house.
