Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of proposed development. The work consisted of a desk top study and the excavation of trial trenches. The desk top study indicated that the site had a high potential for containing medieval archaeological remains. The excavation revealed that the area had been subjected to 18th and 19th century disturbance, although evidence for the existence of a substantially sized structure of medieval date on the site was found.
