Abstract: |
<summary>A topographical survey and trial excavation were undertaken on the route of the proposed by-pass. The features recorded in the survey did not appear to be of archaeological significance; the area seems to have been modified by Hambleton Beck over the last 100-200 years. A trench excavated through a circular mound indicated that it was probably a post-medieval dump deposit incorporating building material. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
