Abstract: |
Archaeological excavation of a new heading and enlargement of the British Telecom junction box at the junction of Borough High Street and Southwark Street revealed three phases of clay and timber buildings, dating to the early Roman period. Two of the buildings had been destroyed by fire and all were aligned with the Roman road running below present day Borough High Street. [Au(adp)] |
