Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed a number of archaeological features, many relating to medieval occupation and possibly contemporary gravel extraction. Pits and ditches from this period were abundant. A Saxon burh ditch was expected to cross the western part of the site, but was not encountered. It was thought that this feature was responsible for the gravel extraction. [Au(adp)] |
