Abstract: |
The site was listed as a medieval domestic house. The recent developments uncovered an almost complete medieval well in the rear room of 123A Upper Spon Street. Associated with it was a Victorian drain, and there was also a small Victorian wall. Subsequent excavation of the floor uncovered an area of burnt ash containing a range of pottery sherds, animal bone and an 18th century coin. [Au(abr)] |
