Abstract:
The watching brief identified the remnants of a masonry wall, the orientation of which suggested that it was probably associated with an earlier nave wall. A stone plinth, which appeared to represent a gallery support, was also discovered. This gallery had now been partially removed at the west end of the nave, for the construction of a nathex. During the excavation works required for the nathex, small quantities of disarticulated human bone were recovered. [Au(abr)]
