Abstract: |
Evaluation excavation was required ahead of the proposed construction of a school sports hall. The make-up for a path or lane was probably of medieval date as pottery suggested that the deposit immediately overlying it began to accumulate in the late medieval period. An earlier undated ditch appeared to run along the line of one edge of the lane and so may also have been medieval. A single sherd of Roman pottery and a demolished post-medieval or modern brick wall were the only other discoveries. [Au(adp)] |
