Abstract: |
This evaluation was part of a programme of archaeological work undertaken to mitigate the affects of the Arcot Hall Development Area. One L-shaped trench was positioned in Field 27 of the proposed development to examine magnetic anomalies identified through a geophysical survey of the area. The evaluation revealed that at least one of the magnetic anomalies had an archaeological origin, as a ditch was positioned close to a linear positive anomaly. Natural cutting features, including gullies and post holes not revealed by the geophysical survey, were also located at the extreme west end of the trench. [Au(abr)] |
