Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, comprising the excavation of four trial trenches, was undertaken in advance of proposed alteration to the junction of the B6312 and the A167. Three of the trenches produced no results. The fourth exposed evidence of buildings on the south side of the minor road; it was known that there were houses near there in the past. No material of pre-modern date was recovered from the excavations. [Au(abr)] |
