Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief during the construction of an extension to the Minster Primary School, located in an area close to the sites of the medieval hospital of St Giles and the Franciscan priory, identified remains of ridge and furrow indicating that the development area had been in agricultural use during the Medieval period. A small amount of pottery, probably derived from manuring of fields and rubbish disposal, was recovered and included sherds of 13th to 19th/20th century date. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
