Abstract: |
Observations of extensive excavations of services and drainage trenches over the entire development site turned up pottery sherds from a period 1870-1930. The archaeologist concluded that the site was developed c.1870 as a model farm, and that yard area, largely cobbled, was kept clear of domestic refuse. The 17th century Listed barn building, appeared not to have been inhabited on a regular basis. [Au(adp)] |
