Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out at land at Kiln Drive. Three trenches were excavated and the work revealed a late 18th to early 19th century occupation layer and three associated possible post holes that probably represented the location of a revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars period (1783-1815) military encampment or barracks that was likely to have extended over much of the site.
