Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	A trial trench evaluation was carried out at the site in advance of commercial development. Fifty-two trenches (total area 5929 square metres) were excavated, covering just over 4% of the site. Very few archaeological features were recorded: just 15 linear features and four pits. Of these nine produced dateable finds and only three of these were earlier than post-medieval in date. No particular concentration of features was recorded, although two of the three earlier features were found in adjacent trenches on the high ground in the south-eastern part of the site. A small area was recommended for further work in the form of monitoring of soil stripping. [Au(adp)]
