Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment noted that sites of archaeological interest had been discovered in the vicinity of Verbeer Manor in similar topographical locations. A Roman road, square ditched-enclosure, prehistoric ring ditch and scatters of prehistoric flint and chert finds had been identified in the vicinity. The archaeological potential of the site therefore remained uncertain, but it was possible that prehistoric or Roman features could lie within the southern part of the site. The greatest potential impact of the development was likely to have been within the main pasture area. [Au(adp)] |
