Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out at Rustington Parish Church during the removal of masory to investigate wet rot in the Lady Chapel. A number of grave slabs were uncovered, mostly belonging to the 'Greene' family, and dating to the 18th century. Below the slabs lay a number of brick built vaults, which presumably contained the remains of those mentioned on the slabs. [Au(adp)] |
