Abstract: |
A small assemblage of worked and fire-cracked flint was recovered from the test-pits, and an abraded sherd of medieval pottery and some modern material were found during the evaluation. Trial trenching produced a number of shallow gullies which were difficult to date and interpret with any certainty, but a pit and post hole of the Late Iron Age period were located. The site seemed to lie on the periphery of an area (or areas) of more intense activity. [Au] |
