Abstract: |
The evaluation undertaken formed phase 2 of a staged programme of archaeological evaluations. Previous fieldwalking on the site had identified 8 areas of archaeological potential. Three of these areas were systematically fieldwalked using intensive gridded surface collection. Artefact categories recovered included worked and burnt flint and prehistoric pottery. The concentrations of artefacts may have represented the locations of intrasite activity areas within the boundaries of the previously identified areas of high archaeological potential. [AIP] |
