Abstract: |
The assessment identified that in the post-medieval period; Hatch Mill would seem to have been one of the most important local mills, being shown on historic county maps from 1690 onwards. This pre-eminence might have supported suggestion that it was an important site at an earlier period. Although the evidence was not completely clear cut, there were enough hints to suggest that the archaeology of the site could have been of significance. [Au(abr)] |
