Abstract: |
A watching brief was held over works for an extension linking the present 17th century house with a garage to the south, at The Cottages, Lower Farm, West Ginge. The two foundation trenches, excavated to a maximum depth of 1.20m revealed no evidence of the suspected structure linking the original east wing of the farmhouse with the building which later became the garage. It was considered likely that if any such structure had existed, any evidence for it had been destroyed by modifications to the surviving structures. [Au(adp)] |
