Abstract: |
During the the stripping of the existing cobble road surface for the re-paving of Neville Street four adjacent cellars were revealed. These were then archaeologically recorded. Four stone-vaulted cellars were identified, running from the buildings on the eastern side of the street, under the pavement and into the eastern half of the road. The cellars were likely to have been 19th century in date, but their purpose was unclear. [Au(adp)] |
