Abstract:
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site which was thought to overlie a line of 17th century Civil War fortifications. A brick feature, possibly the remains of an 18th century soakaway or cellar, was recorded. A shallow feature containing fragments of brick and bottle glass was also found. It was concluded that no further archaeological work would be necessary. [AIP]
