Abstract: |
<summary>Following geophysical survey, three trenches were excavated to evaluate a proposed stocking/winter working area for aggregates. The excavations established that the anomalies identified during the geophysical survey were of natural origin. The proposal area was found to encompass two relict river channels which contained organic deposits with well-preserved pollen. Radiocarbon dating of one channel suggested that it became infilled during the Mesolithic period. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
