Abstract: |
This evaluation comprised 16 trial trenches carried out in advance of a proposed sports facility development. Geotechnical test pits were also excavated prior to the evaluation. The trial trenches revealed evidence of a post-medieval boundary ditch and contained roof tile fragments and four truncated linear features of probable prehistoric, possibly Bronze Age date. These linear features contained contemporary pottery and worked and fire cracked flint. [AIP] |
