Abstract: |
The report concluded that overall the site had a fairly low potential for archaeological remains. Topographical and SMR evidence suggested that significant remains of prehistoric date would have been unlikely, and that there was little chance of any Roman or Saxon finds. It was likely that for much of the historical period the area was marshy and periodically flooded, and at most would have been utilised for meadow or pasture. [Au(abr)] |
