Abstract: |
A single evaluation trench was excavated on the site. Several phases of building foundations for a sequence of timber framed buildings were identified. These structures had associated floor surfaces and hearths, the earliest dating to the 12th century. The changes continued to the first half of the 14th century, with thick levelling deposits sealing the foundations, which in turn were cut by a 15th/16th century ditch. [Au(abr)] |
