Abstract:		 A field evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a motorway service area. The evaluation consisted of 37 trenches and revealed evidence for prehistoric activity, predominantly of later Bronze Age date, and some limited Romano-British and medieval activity. This consisted of various pits and ditches, some of which contained dating evidence in the form of flintwork or pottery. [AIP]
